At Joseph Martin, we believe that industrial performance starts with the fulfillment of our people. Our HR commitments reflect a strong conviction: uncover talent, value every career path, and build a sustainable future together.

The Martin Academy

Training Tomorrow’s Precision Machining Talent Today

Because we believe in everyone’s potential, we created the Joseph Martin Academy, an in-house training program to become a CNC Setter-Operator (Machine Setter) in Swiss-Type Screw Machining / Precision Turning — no prior experience required.

With personalized mentoring, hands-on training on our production machines, and a supportive learning environment, we help career changers and candidates without formal qualifications launch a stable, technical career with real long-term prospects in precision manufacturing.

A paid training program and a genuine local opportunity:

  • Industry-recognized, high-demand technical skills
  • A tailor-made learning path
  • A real chance of permanent employment at the end of the program

Seven people have already joined our teams after completing this program. Why not you?

We put working conditions at the heart of our priorities. From day one, every new employee benefits from personalized onboarding support to ensure a smooth integration.

We are committed to providing a clean, healthy, and ergonomic workplace through:

  • Rigorous equipment and facility maintenance: weekly machine cleaning, spotless floors, oil-mist extraction systems, and climate-controlled workshops
  • Continuous investment in workplace ergonomics: adapted workstations to reduce musculoskeletal disorders (MSDs), appropriate handling equipment, optimized inspection and setup stations, and posture/movement training for all employees
  • Health and safety at work: strict compliance with safety standards, regular training to prevent occupational risks, and dedicated attention to both the physical and mental wellbeing of our teams
  • Clear and efficient working methods: workstation instructions, dedicated measurement tools per machine, and tracking software (APC, 3D) to streamline daily operations

Because a well-designed work environment allows everyone to thrive and perform at their best.

Knowledge transfer and training

Inspiring the Next Generation of Manufacturing Talent

At Joseph Martin, we believe in the future of local industry and in passing on the skills and expertise that make our region thrive.

To showcase our trades and careers, we actively partner with schools and young people throughout the Arve Valley and across France.

Job fairs, workshop tours, and school partnerships — we run a wide range of initiatives to spark interest and show that today’s manufacturing industry is modern, high-tech, and meaningful.

Every year, we welcome student groups for immersive visits, as well as interns and apprentices, whom we support with care and high standards.

Sparking curiosity, passing on expertise, inspiring new vocations — that’s part of our responsibility as a company too.

Our Local Commitments

At Joseph Martin, we believe that a company must be a responsible actor within its community. That’s why we actively invest in local initiatives that support personal growth while contributing to our region’s dynamism.

  • Industry support: We are members of the SNDEC (National Screw Machining Union / National Association for Precision Turning), actively contributing to the development and promotion of our industry.
  • Sustainable mobility: Every year, we take part in the Mobility Challenge to encourage employees to adopt greener modes of transport and raise awareness of environmental issues.
  • Sports sponsorship:
    • We support the Cyclo JPP, a charity cycling race, through a partnership and the participation of a team of enthusiastic employees.
    • We sponsor the ASV Racing go-kart team, led by one of our passionate employees, as well as local young cyclist Aurore Pernollet.
    • We also support the Mini Z Cluses club, promoting model-making in the Arve Valley.
  • Local community support: as a partner of the Bonneville Office of Culture and Events, we help drive our region’s cultural life.
  • GEIQ Alpège board member: we work to foster collaboration, skills development, and synergies among members throughout the Valley.
